‘Nutcracker’ auditions to be held at Stephens Auditorium

The Iowa State Center’s 31st anniversary of “Nutcracker Ballet” is quickly approaching. Auditions for this year’s production will be held on Sept. 11.

To participate, all dancers must be at least 6 years of age. Audition registration begins at 11:15 a.m. All dancers must wear leotards, tights and ballet or pointe shoes. Please arrive early to complete proper paperwork prior to audition times. Dancers should be dressed, warmed up and ready to audition by the times listed below. Dancers must also be enrolled in a dance studio, and pointe dancers must be studying pointe.

Noon to 3 p.m.: Children ages 6 and above
3 to 4 p.m.: Adult dancers
4 to 7 p.m.: Ballet dancers (male and female) for pointe and non-pointe.

When: Sunday, Sept. 11, noon to 7 p.m.
Where: Stephens Auditorium
