Local record label Maximum Ames announced today that its second annual music festival will take place from Sept. 20 – 23. According to MAMF Co-Director Chris Lyng, 127 different bands performed during last year’s event. Lyng and fellow co-director and musician Nate Logsdon have been at work lining up this year’s activities well in advance.
“We’ve partnered up with organizations like the Ames Convention and Vistors Bureau and we’re offering even more variety and entertainment this year,” Lyng said.
He anticipated lineup announcements in a few months, shortly after 80/35 in July. He is confident MAMF 2012 will surpass its predecessor in size and scope “easily”.
